Ha ha thank you. Your english is very good, its very impressive that you even used lol!!..lol...
"les vitres en plastique" in english these are "rear quarter lights/rear quarter windows", they are easy to polish (using fiberglass polish). However if they have been painted then this is hard to get off and very difficult to polish. But it your rear quarter lights are in 'original' condition then it is very easy to polish. It will take a couple of hours to polish them- but it can be done without removing them so its cheaper and easier. There was a particular brand/type of fiberglass polish as it was meant for caravans/campers/motorhomes. I can ask my mechanic which brand/type of polish if anyone is interested?
Here's a close up of before (painted) and after..
I posted on this forum looking for a new weber carb. My BX had an lpg (i think you say autogas?/gpl?) conversion but i had to remove it. The conversion meant that the weber carb had an extra hole for the gpl fuel pipe therefore i replaced the case of this weber carb with another one. But now the carb has failed. I'm unsure if i can have mine reconditioned due to it being 'bodged'/2 carbs into 1. It is no longer complete and may be too far gone/broken to repair. So i was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a second hand complete carb cheap from France maybe and have this reconditioned here in the UK, rather than buy new??
I hope i have answered your questions. I didn't fully understand 'Demes' question: "as - tu trouvé pour changer l'intérieur des portes avants percé par les hauts - parleurs " im afraid it didn't translate! But ive taken some new photos now of the interior.....
As you can see the map book holder/seat pocket is brown and it should be grey. but again parts are rare so this has to do. The door cards do match the 'tweed' interior but have holes cut in for speakers. Again these were the last serie 1 door cards in the UK so i had to use them.
Originally my interior looked like this:
But this material didn't wear well and had holes in. Also the driver's seat had collapsed. So i had to replace it with the later 1985 tweed interior which came from a scrapped 1985 BX Automatic.
A you can see unfortunately i have a serie 2 BX aerial/antenna:
My serie 1 aerial/antenna broke during the respray and is impossible to replace here in the UK. It is a shame; i think the serie 2 aerial looks silly/stupid on a serie 1 car. But i cannot replace it. Also if you look closely i have 1985 door trim rubber/side rubbing strips fitted. I had to replace all four doors and couldnt remove the old/correct trim- its impact bonded/glued. So i had to fit this too. So now it is more 1985 rather than 1984!!!..with a serie 2 aerial!!!
Door trim/side rubbing strips:
1985

1984
If anyone know where i can get a grey map book holder, a serie 1 aerial please let me know! I will pay and it doesnt matter if its used. I would love some new 1984 door rubber/side rubbing strips but as these are glued on i don't think that i will be able to get some more?
But these are minor issue compared to the weber carb.
Please answer any quesion you wish (English or french) and i will do my best to answer them..in English or le Français.
Here is my final photo of my car proudly wearing a 15th ICCCR 2012 GB sticker- are any of you attending?
To Arno08, there are very few phase 2/serie 2s in the UK. Here when a car is scrapped it is crushed/cubed within a few weeks. Hence I’m looking in France for a new carb and other parts in France. I think a second hand/used carb would do if complete. Don’t worry I can’t speak French at all!!
Thank you/merci
